TechExcel ServiceWise Overall Ratings
Used the TechExcel solutions ServiceWise (and DevTrack) at a former employer. We were a small support team with 7-10 users supporting a few hundred customers and a handful of software products. ServiceWise was a fast and stable solution once configured. Getting it configured took some effort – but nothing out of the ordinary for this type of solution. Customizations are drag-drop. Once configured, we became wary of new releases as they tended to be a bit problematic. My advice is to stay ONE version behind the latest. This allows upgrade kinks to be worked out.
Highlights: Customer self-service portal, workflow, performance when configured.
Lows: Disjointed feature set, User interface is worky.
Overall: A good choice if you need some of the niche/specific features. I will be using SaaS solution in future and look forward to that.
